The first step toward becoming a tutor is to take the tutor training workshop, which introduces you to the program. At the workshop you will learn the scope and composition of the program and what a tutor's - and student's - responsibilities are. We will show you various reading and writing methodologies, and give you practice in some of them. You will meet a current tutor/student team, listen to their experiences and advice, and ask them any questions you may have about what it is to be a participant in the program. At the end of the workshop, you will be given a tour of the center and be shown all the resources that are there at your disposal, including the Tutor Resource Library and the Student Library.
You will walk away with a copy of the tutor handbook and a better understanding of what we do.

Our workshops are usually held in Room F, which is a difficult room to locate. This map should make it easier for you to find us. For a map of how to get to the school, please go to the maps, etc. page.
Reserve a seat at the next workshop
The workshop will be limited to fifteen participants. The first fifteen people will have a guaranteed seat at the next workshop. We will send you a reminder email two weeks before the next workshop.
